The REVERSO 4 is a lightweight and multifunctional belay/rappel device developed by Petzl.
Thanks to the rugged design and aluminum construction, the product weighs only 57g without limiting its performance or durability. It is compatible with most rope diameters - dynamic single ropes 8.5 to 10.5mm wide, half ropes 7.1 to 9.2mm wide, and twin ropes 6.9 to 9.2mm wide.
REVERSO 4 is easy to use - standard belay techniques with a hand on the brake side of the rope are applicable. Thanks to the V-shaped friction surfaces, controllable braking is possible. The descender will not twist the ropes, and the additional safety cable limits the risk of dropping the device. Diagrams with rope installation for belaying or Reverso mode are engraved on the product.
REVERSO 4 can be used to rappel on one or two rope ends, while the Reverso mode allows for the belay of one or two climbers with assisted braking.
Those technical solutions make the REVERSO 4 a reliable and versatile tool needed in climbing.
