Designed by Vortex Optics, the Viper HD 3000 is a long-range, high-precision laser rangefinder made with premium materials and advanced technical solutions.
The housing is injection molded from a high-quality, impact-resistant polymer for superb durability and weather resistance. The weight of 258g and dimensions of 106x43mm make it a small and sleek piece of ranging equipment.
Viper HD operates in four targeting modes: normal mode, the first mode, the last mode, and ELR:

• “Normal Mode” is the standard mode that displays the result with the strongest range estimation.

• “First Mode” displays the closest distance when ranging. It is ideal for measuring the range to smaller objects in front of larger ones.

• “Last Mode” displays the farthest distance to the target. It is a prime choice for measuring range to target behind trees, bushes, or rocks.

• “ELR Mode” allows the ranging of smaller objects that reflect the laser beam insufficiently at the longest possible distance. A tripod or external stabilization may be required to acquire an appropriate range.

The additional HCD and LOS mode allows the proper ranging in uneven, hilly, or mountainous terrain.
The 25mm objective lens glass is layered in an ultra-hard, anti-scratch, and reflection multi-coating. It secures the lenses from oil, dirt, and potential physical damage in the field. The maximal ranging distance is estimated at 2740m, 2100m for trees, and 1820m for deer and similarly-sized targets. 7x magnification, 15.5mm eye relief, and 6° view angle make the performance optimal in its class.
A single CR123A cap-secured battery provides power for operation and five brightness settings.
